Nic Collins has two approaches showcased on this record: digital processing and remixing of various recorded sound sources, and a technique of driving guitar strings. Collins wires guitars to accept sound sources from synthesizers, radios, prerecorded tapes, and so forth; the strings resonate from these sources and through damping, fretting, plucking, strumming, and returning, the guitars act as complex filters for the sounds. Eerie and captivating.
